My musical biography:

Many musicians already know since their childhood that they want to make music. I didn´t even know that I had a talent for singing until the age of 23. I often imagined how it would feel to be a rocksinger (I often jumped around in my room with my brush – my „mic“- in my hand while singing rock songs), but I never thought this could be my profession. Everything changed in 2003 when I went to Finland during my pedagogic studies. There I sang a classical piece in a choir for the very first time, a „Kyrie eleison“, which impressed me so much that back home I began to take classical singing lessons and started to sing in gospel/classical choirs and solos at churchly ceremonies. But as I loved metal and rock music since my youth, I felt the strong desire to combine both passions (classical and rock/metal music) and inspired by symphonic metal bands I began to cover and write own songs together with my friend Mani Müller in 2007. 2008 some fortunate events brought me to the classic-metal-band „Haggard“. With them I stood on big stages for the first time and toured through Europe and Latin America. At the same time I was singer in the band „Nagor Mar“ (nowadays called „Forty Shades“), my first band even before Haggard, with whom I shared a wonderful musical time from 2008-2012. Since 2010 I am the singer of Xandria and I am very excited where my journey will be leading to…

Best Xandria Concert: Every concert is something special, but the concert I loved most until know was the last one of the Epica tour. It was in Paris (in „Le Bataclan“) and the atmosphere was simply amazing!

Biggest accident on stage: At the very first headliner concert with Xandria in Bielefeld I actually managed to knock out a piece of my teeth with my microphone!

3 “must haves” on tour: Soluble coffee (if I don´t get my coffee in the morning I could become quite uncomfortable…), silver marker for writing autographs (you can never ever have enough of them, because somehow they ALWAYS get lost…), my tourbook diary

Best experience on tour:
…to experience that fans travel a thousand miles just to listen to your music
…to see so many beautiful new places and to get to know so many lovely people

A bad characterictic: Unpunctuality, a bit chaotic inside and outside

Place I want to go once: New Zealand

This is what I want to experience:
…to once hear a song sung/composed by me in a hollywood movie
…to be on stage with a piano and play and sing my own songs

Wish for Xandria:
…to sing in Wacken on the mainstage
…to do a world tour
…to enthuse so many people as possible with our music

Personal wishes:
…to be able to play the piano better
…to experience something very beautiful which I never expected to happen
…to be able to say at the end of my life that I made what I really loved

What I´d like to have: A wooden house at a lake

This is what I always wanted to say: Everythings possible, it´s only your mind that holds you back, nothing else…
